The use of power banks is no longer permitted on board Fiji Airways and Fiji Link flights effective from today (19 Jan).
Passengers must carry power banks in their carry-on bag and store them in the seat pocket, instead of the overhead compartments, adds FJ. Up to two power banks can be carried per person, and each power bank cannot exceed 100 Wh (Watt hours). The decision follows a review of operational protocols regarding portable electronic accessories in line with the IATA dangerous goods regulations, adds FJ. See HERE.
