Air Canada is reimagining the onboard experience, with a comprehensive cabin renewal program that includes Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada Express and its mainline aircraft.
The reimagining will include new interiors, next-generation technology, and the installation of free wifi. AC evp and chief operations officer Mark Nasr says every update is designed with customers in mind. The carrier’s mainline flights operated by A320 and A321 aircraft will feature upgraded interiors including new seating, the latest in-flight entertainment, and upgraded wifi.
The program is well underway, with 15 A321s already flying with the upgrades, plus the carrier says it has 26 A220-300s on order.
. . . 737 MAX
At the same time, mainline AC’s 737 MAX 8 aircraft will get a cabin update and move to join Air Canada Rouge. The new cabin configuration includes 12 business class seats, 18 preferred extra legroom economy seats, and 147 reclining standard economy seats which each featuring personal on-demand entertainment screens. The Air Canada Express aircraft operated by Jazz are also being fitted with new cabins and wifi is being installed.
. . . More Snacks
In other in-flight enhancements, AC has earlier advised that the carrier will offer complimentary beer, wine, and premium snacks on all of its Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, and Air Canada Express (Jazz) fights.
