Korean Air has revealed plans to add premium economy cabins and upgrade its airport lounges across the world.
It’s a move that comes as the carrier unveils a new corporate identity ahead of its integration with Asiana, with will include a modernised version of its signature Taegeuk symbol and new livery.
. . . Cabins
The premium economy cabin will be added to 11 of the carrier’s 777-300 ER aircraft, replacing its first class product. The first of these retrofitted aircraft is due to debut in the second half of this year.
KE’s Prestige, or business class, and economy cabins will remain. The fleet modifications will continue through 2026 which will expand KE’s premium economy availability across more routes, with further details as to what exactly it will look like still to come.
. . . Lounges Too
KE is also expanding and renovating its existing lounges at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2. The carrier’s Prestige Class Lounge in the east wing will double in size, and the Miler Club Lounge is to be expanded.
EK is also adding new Prestige Class Garden Lounges in both the east and west wings, which will be added as part of the airport’s Phase 4 expansion. These four lounges will open in phases from Aug, adds KE.
In addition. KE’s First Class Lounge and Prestige Class Lounge in the ICN west wing will undergo renovation and reopen in Apr 2026. Highlighted changes will include a more sophisticated look, live kitchens, dedicated bartenders and baristas, bakeries and a signature noodle bar.
